Mumbai terror attack: Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and others pay tribute to lost lives

Mumbai attack: 13 years ago, on November 26, 2008, India was shocked by a carnage unleashed by ten Pakistani terrorists at different locations in India’s financial capital, Mumbai. Up to 166 people lost their lives in the bloodbath. Remembering the people who lost their lives, many Indian cricketers took to their social media accounts to pay tribute to the lives lost. Mumbai attack: Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and others pay tribute to lost lives

India’s Test and ODI skipper Virat Kohli, former Indian starter and now politician Gautam Gambhir and the likes of Wasim Jaffer and Virender Sehwag took to their respective Twitter accounts to pay tribute to the lives lost.

“We will never forget this day, we will never forget the lives lost. Sending my prayers to friends and families who lost loved ones, ”wrote India’s Test and ODI employer Virat Kohli on his Twitter account.

“Remembering the exemplary courage and supreme sacrifice of our brave hearts today,” Wasim Jaffer wrote on her Twitter account along with sharing a photo of all the police officers who lost their lives in the attack.

Former India starter Virender Sehwag recalled Shaheed Tukaram Omble, who served as an assistant deputy inspector in the Mumbai police and lost his life fighting terrorists.

“13 years since the sad day. He is one of the greatest sons of our soil: Shaheed Tukaram Omble. The courage, the presence of mind and the selflessness that he showed that day, without words, without awards can do justice. Dandavat pranam hai aise mahaan insaan ko, ”Sehwag wrote on his Twitter account.

A total of 10 Pakistani terrorists attacked Mumbai, simultaneously striking in different locations, killing 165 people. Of the 10 terrorists, 9 died during the attacks, while Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, who was captured alive, was executed on November 21, 2012.
