The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that Ukrainian troops must leave the territory of the republic. He announced this on the air of the YouTube channel “Soloviev Live”.
“The best option is for them to leave the territory voluntarily, so that they can take out their weapons,” he said.
Earlier, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said that Russia’s recognition of the LPR and the DPR was the result of Kiev’s failure to comply with the Minsk agreements.
The permanent representative noted that this step was a direct consequence of many years of sabotage by Ukraine of its direct obligations under the set of measures approved by Security Council resolution 2202 on the Minsk agreements.
According to him, there are no prospects for Kiev to fulfill the agreements, and the Ukrainian authorities have openly stated that they are not going to comply with the provisions of this document.
