The first department store of Russian designers will open on September 24 in Samara on the site of the Bershka store. New formats will allow shopping centers to fill empty areas and expand the range of products through new players.
It is planned that about 30 such department stores will open in two years. In Moscow, Telegraph will open at the site of the Nike store in Outlet New Riga and at the site of H&M in the Sofia shopping center. The growth in demand for the opening of department stores is associated with an increase in free space in shopping centers. These areas are suitable for multi-brand stores. So, “Telegraphs” are opened on areas from 1 thousand square meters. m, there will be presented at least 50 brands.
Customers will be offered different categories of goods – clothes, shoes, accessories, cosmetics and more. Experts believe that the demand for such department stores from shopping centers will grow, and taking into account parallel imports, their development looks logical.
Earlier it was reported that H&M intends to close its stores in the cities of Siberia and the Far East until the end of October – about 20 outlets of the network. In the central part of Russia, business will be curtailed gradually, starting with the closure of the least profitable stores.
