[NEWS] Aeroflot to resume flights to Colombo

Aeroflot Airlines will resume regular flights to Colombo (Sri Lanka), from October 30 to Bangkok (Thailand) and from November 2 to Goa (India), RIA Novosti reports citing a press release from the carrier. The flights will be operated on Airbus A330 aircraft. Ticket sales to Sri Lanka and Thailand are already open, and to India will open soon.

From October 9, the company will resume flights to Colombo, where flights will initially operate twice a week. Starting October 30, Aeroflot will again begin operating flights to Bangkok with a frequency of seven flights a week, and from November 2, the airline will operate up to three flights a week to Goa , the document says.

Earlier it was reported that direct flights from Russia to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) could begin in November. According to media reports, negotiations on the resumption of flights with Turkey are ongoing.

It also became known that Russia and Indonesia are working on the restoration of direct flights between the countries. Aeroflot, Nordwind and Azur Air requested permission to fly to Jakarta.
