Sen. Joe Manchin’s approval rating has shot up as he’s become a stalwart against his party’s progressive agenda but Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is the nation’s most unpopular senator, according to a new poll.
South Dakota Senator and Minority Whip John Thune is the most popular senator in the U.S., according to polling conducted by Morning Consult. Manchin clocks in at number eight, while Sens. Thune, Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and John Barrasso, R-Wyo., all have 62 percent approval.
Meanwhile, only 33 percent of Kentucky voters approve of McConnell’s job performance as he finds little favor from Democrats and has faced vicious attacks from former President Trump.
